A mousepad is basically essential for your daily gaming needs, whether you are a casual gamer or a professional e-sports player. You have a preference for what mousepad you will use. Make it a full or small size; it really depends on the user’s taste.
In this review, we’ll be taking a closer look at the newest mousepad from Corsair. The Corsair MM Pro Control Mouse Pad, if this will be a perfect accessory for you.

Closer Look

The packaging comes in the usual-colored yellow and black box, the signature of Corsair.

There is a small cutout at the bottom for the consumers who want to test the feel of the mousepad before buying it.

Inside you will just find the Corsair MM PRO Control Mousepad and nothing else.

The mousepad is minimalistic and straight to the point. It is in black with a little bit of white because of the Corsair log and the tag on the top-right corner of the mousepad.
This look will easily fit any PC setups for gaming or content creation. Well, aside from a white setup, it will surely stand out.

The surface of the cloth has a textured feel when you touch it, and compared to the typical mousepads you will find in the market, this feels different. That’s why this is named as “Control”, as this mousepad offers more precise control to the mouse with moderate speeds without that muddy feeling when you glide your mouse.
The borders of the mousepad are stitched edges and have a little bit of a slope to prevent the mouse from fraying from a long time of usage.

Underneath the mousepad is an almost like honeycomb design of thick rubber that keeps the mousepad planted to the desk while smoothing out the bumps or holes of your desk.
User Experience

Coming from a normal mousepad that you can easily get in the market. There is much difference in the feel, or you can say touch, for the MM PRO Control mousepad.
It gives me more control glide, especially using an ultralightweight mouse like the Sabre V2 Pro. Also, a little bit of extra comfort thanks to its 4mm thickness.
For a casual gamer like me, I like this mousepad.
Conclusion

The Corsair MM PRO Control Mousepad is a good choice for enthusiasts who want precise control and a consistent smooth glide for their mouse. But for a casual gamer it might be a little bit intimidating, which I will explain later on.
It is stable on your desk; thanks to the PU base, you shouldn’t encounter any slipping from the mousepad. The stitches on the borders will not irritate your skin while using it.
The sad thing to note is that the mousepad is only available in medium and large (which is what I got). A larger option like that covers the whole peripheral area would be desirable.
Now, let’s go back for casual gamers. What will hold them back in getting this mouse is the pricing. If you know Corsair, they have premium prices for everything they sell. So, possibly they will opt-out of other mousepads that fit their budget.
Also, if you are into speed rather than precise and smooth glide, then this mousepad is not for you, as it will make your mouse movements slower than what you are used to. If you are into speed, you might like the newest Corsair MM Glass mousepad.
Overall, the Corsair MM PRO Control mousepad is basically aimed at e-sports or casual gamers who want consistent and smooth control for their mouse, especially low-DPI users. You can still use this mouse in normal situations, but the premium price might stop you from getting this as your everyday mousepad.
You can buy the Corsair MM PRO Control for $39.99 or P2,465.00 at your nearest CORSAIR affiliated online and physical stores.
With this, Corsair MM PRO Control Mousepad receives the Recommended Award.
