I came across the new ASUS TUF GAMING A14 during Computex 2025, and it immediately caught my attention. It’s a 14-inch gaming laptop that tries to pack serious performance into a very portable form factor and from what I’ve seen so far, it actually pulls it off.

Light but Built TUF
The A14 weighs around 1.46kg, which is light enough to throw into a backpack without feeling like you’re carrying a brick. But even with the lighter build, ASUS didn’t compromise much on the components.

There’s support for two M.2 SSDs, 100W USB-C charging, and cooling looks solid with dual fans (each with 81 blades) and enlarged vents. It’s clear this wasn’t designed just for office work or casual use. It’s meant to handle heat from long gaming sessions.

Powered by AMD’s New AI Push
Inside, it runs on the Ryzen AI 7 350, AMD’s newer chip that has a dedicated AI engine. So yes, this is one of those Copilot+ PCs Microsoft has been pushing lately. From what I understand, the AI stuff helps with multitasking, battery life, and certain creative tasks, but how useful that actually is day-to-day remains to be seen.

What really matters for most people though is the GPU and ASUS didn’t skimp here either. The A14 can go up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060, part of NVIDIA’s new Blackwell lineup. It supports things like DLSS 4 and other AI features for gaming. Realistically, you’re looking at a machine that should be able to handle most modern titles at high settings, especially at 1080p and even 1440p in some cases.

Display Checks the Right Boxes
The screen is a 14-inch 2.5K panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, full sRGB coverage, and G-SYNC support. It looks sharp, smooth, and color-accurate which is good enough for both gaming and content creation. The taller 16:10 aspect ratio is also a nice touch if you do a lot of writing or editing.

The TUF A14 isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel. It just delivers a good mix of power, portability, and up-to-date features like on-device AI. From what I saw at the booth, it feels like a practical machine for gamers or content creators who want something compact but still capable. No gimmicks, just solid specs and good design choices.

This laptop will probably be available soon at PCWORX. For all of your ASUS/ROG/TUF needs buy it only at PCWORX.
