Xbox CEO Phil Spencer revealed that work on adding Activision Blizzard’s titles to the Game Pass platform is underway, although he declined to reveal any titles. “Today we start the work to bring beloved Activision, Blizzard, and King franchises to Game Pass and other platforms. We’ll share more about when you can expect to play in the coming months. We know you’re excited – and we are too.”
Spencer additionally reassured existing Activision Blizzard game consumers that multiplatform compatibility will be preserved for future generations. “For the millions of fans who love Activision, Blizzard, and King games, we want you to know that today is a good day to play,” he went on to explain. “You are the lifeblood of these brands, and we are delighted to have you as a member of our community. You are welcome here, whether you play on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, PC, or mobile – and you will stay welcome even if you don’t play your favorite series on Xbox. We all win when everyone participates. “Because when everyone plays, we all win. We believe our news today will unlock a world of possibilities for more ways to play. Thank you for the ongoing support. We have so much more to come in the months ahead – I’m excited for the future and cannot wait to share it with you.”
Some will cheer the action, while others will be skeptical. As computer enthusiasts are aware, several apps or software purchased by Microsoft from other firms either perish or have poor support.
You will find the Activision Blizzard titles probably early next year.
