Closer Look

The packaging comes in a unique and cute-looking eggshell that encloses the whole USB Flash Drive, which really gives it a roar-some appeal.

The Mini Dragon USB Flash Drive itself comes in two parts. The housing, which is the dragon itself, is made from silicon for the housing of the flash drive, and the USB flash drive serves as the golden horns of the dragon.

Looking closely at the Mini Dragon USB Flash Drive, you will find at the back of the dragon the Kingston branding and the capacity of the flash drive.

The eggshell packaging looks like it can be used as a keychain. But it is not recommended as the clear part of the packaging is press-fitted. So, sudden heavy movements will open the shell.

The Mini Dragon has a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Interface. To be able to maximize the speed of this flash drive you should use it on a Gen 3.2 Header on your PC or Laptop.

Benchmarks

In Sequential Reads and Writes, we can see that it is above and sometimes below what Kingston gave on the specs sheet of their product. Yet this is quite normal, as it will really differ depending on the device used.

The Random Read speed is quite normal for a USB 3.2 Gen 1 though the Write speed is almost non-existent.

Conclusion

The Kingston Limited-Edition Mini Dragon USB Flash Drive is a good product from Kingston if we base it on the uniqueness and roar-some appearance of the product. Also, it’s a limited edition, so it will add to its value as a must-have if you are one of the people who likes to collect limited edition PC components or products.

Performance-wise, it is reasonable for a USB flash drive with USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity. Though you may say the performance is limited, for me it’s in a reasonable range. Remember, this is a flash drive and not an external SSD.

Overall, the Kingston Limited-Edition Mini Dragon USB Drive is a good product to have. Which has a reasonable performance but with a great design and added roar-some aesthetics and appeal, which will really add to its value. It can also be a perfect gift for your partner.

You can buy the Kingston Limited-Edition Mini Dragon USB Drive for around P1,1900.00 at your nearest Kingston-affiliated online and physical stores.

With this, Kingston receives a MUST HAVE Award as an USB drive that you should buy to add to your collection and to be roar-some.
