Based on the leak information, AMD is starting to develop a budget-friendly X3D gaming CPU, the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X3D, based on its Zen 5 architecture. This CPU will have six cores and a 64MB stack of 3D V-cache.

Tech leaker Hoang Anh Phu suggests that the eight-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D will launch in early November, despite earlier rumors of a late October release. He indicates that the Ryzen 5 was planned alongside the R7 and R9 models, signaling a potential shift in AMD’s X3D strategy.
The Ryzen 7 is more popular due to its lower cost and full core access to the 3D V-cache, while other models have limited core benefits, affecting performance. AMD seems to be learning from these trends, with an imminent release of the 9800X3D and the development of the 9600X3D, which could be a strong option for gamers if priced well. Nonetheless, skepticism remains until there are verified results.
