If you’ve been paying attention to the PC hardware scene, you’ve probably noticed ASRock making serious moves lately. Not just with motherboards and GPUs, but now in the power supply game too. At their latest showcase, ASRock unveiled a trio of PSU lineups that are not just feature-packed, but also fully prepped for the high power demands of next-generation graphics cards. Let’s break it down.

STEEL LEGEND G/GW: Gold-Rated Muscle with Platinum-Class Efficiency

First up, the STEEL LEGEND G/GW series. This lineup comes in three wattage options; 1200W, 1000W, and 850W, and supports the new 12V-2×6 standard with a beefy 600W, 16AWG dual-color cable. It’s 80 Plus Gold rated, but if you go by Cybernetics’ more granular standards, it’s actually Platinum-rated, which says a lot about its real-world efficiency.

Looks-wise, it’s available in both white and black, so it’s easy to match with themed builds. White PC enthusiasts, you’re not left behind this time. And yes, you get a 10-year warranty, which is always reassuring.

PHANTOM GAMING G: A Workhorse Dressed in Stealth

Next up, the PHANTOM GAMING G PSU line brings serious wattage to the table; 1600W, 1300W, 1000W, 850W, and 750W. These units also come with TempGuard, ASRock’s thermal protection feature, and the same 600W 16AWG dual-color cable setup. Just like the STEEL LEGEND series, it’s Gold-rated by 80 Plus but Platinum-certified by Cybernetics.

The only caveat? It’s only available in black. But that stealthy, all-black aesthetic fits right in with most gaming rigs anyway. And yes, again, a solid 10-year warranty is included.

TAICHI T: Peak Power Meets Premium Efficiency

If you’re after the absolute top-tier, ASRock’s TAICHI T series is where things get serious. Offered in 1650W and 1300W, this PSU line is both Titanium-rated by 80 Plus and Titanium-certified by Cybernetics. A rare combo and a strong indicator that this unit is built for efficiency and stability at extreme loads.

You still get all the good stuff: TempGuard, dual-color 600W 16AWG cable, and of course, that peace-of-mind 10-year warranty. This one is clearly aimed at power users and enthusiasts running multi-GPU or power-hungry workstation setups.

A Note on the 12V-2X6 / L-Type Cable

ASRock is also introducing a new 12V-2X6 600W L-Type cable, fully compliant with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards. It’s built with cable over-temperature protection and continues the dual-color design. However, it’s worth noting that this cable is exclusive to the TAICHI and PHANTOM GAMING PSU lines only. So if you’re planning a STEEL LEGEND build, this won’t be part of the equation.

ASRock’s PSU lineup shows they’re not just dipping a toe in the power supply market. They’re diving in headfirst with thoughtful designs, next-gen readiness, and long-term reliability baked in. Whether you’re building a clean white-themed rig, an all-black stealth beast, or a workstation-grade monster, there’s an ASRock PSU that fits the bill. And with a decade-long warranty across the board, these units are clearly built for the long haul.

Looks like ASRock isn’t just powering your board anymore. They’re ready to power your entire build
