Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled the Galaxy S26 Series, marking another major step forward in mobile AI, performance, and security. The S26 Series now have a uniform design, better hardware, and lots of AI integration to help your daily routine.

Performance Upgrade

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, delivering better performance across the board. Samsung claims a 39% improvement in NPU performance, 24% better GPU and 19% faster CPU. This is a clear signal that AI is the main focus on the upgrades.

Meanwhile, both the Galaxy S26+ and the base Galaxy S26 are equipped with Samsung’s own Exynos 2600, offering a mix of performance and efficiency for everyday use.

A Slimmer and Uniform Design

All models in the S26 lineup now share a similar design and color palette, giving the series a more unified look. Samsung also said these are the slimmest Galaxy S phones ever, built with Light Armor Aluminum and protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2 on the display for improved durability.

Thermals also see an upgrade on the Ultra model, thanks to a redesigned vapor chamber paired with improved Thermal Interface Material, allowing better heat dissipation under sustained loads.

Faster Charging & Better Display

Fast Charging gets a noticeable boost with Super Fast Charging 3.0, capable of going from 0 to 75% in just 30 minutes, along with improvements to wireless charging.

On the display side, Samsung introduces a customized AP with ProScaler, enhancing image sharpness and richness. Complementing this is mDNIe, which now delivers four times the color precision, producing softer, more natural color tones while maintaining accuracy.

Privacy and Security is still a MUST

Security is one of the biggest talking points this year. The new Privacy Display is claimed to be the world’s first on a mobile device, actively preventing shoulder surfing. Users can switch between partial privacy for notifications or maximum protection, which completely blocks side-angle viewing.

Samsung also adds Call Screening, an AI-powered agent that answers unknown calls, identifies who’s calling and why, and lets users decide whether to respond. Scam detection has also been enhanced, delivering real-time alerts to protect users from potential threats.

On a deeper level, Samsung introduces KEEP (Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection) for Knox Vault, extending security across the Galaxy ecosystem. This includes device-to-device encryption, real-time security status, and support for post-quantum cryptography, preparing devices for future security challenges.

Cameras Built for Low Light and Video

Camera hardware also has upgrades. The S26 ULTRA features a 50MP telephoto and 200MP wide camera, both benefiting from 37% and 47% brighter apertures, respectively, with smarter image processing.

Nightography is further refined, with the enhanced AP proactively recognizing and reducing noise, delivering cleaner low-light shots with more precise noise control. Video enthusiasts will appreciate 8K recording at 30FPS, designed to retain near-lossless quality even after repeated edits.

Advanced Selfie adapts to different textures, skin tones, and lighting conditions.

Super Steady Video uses gyro and accelerometer data to automatically correct and stabilize footage.

Smarter AI for Everyday Life

Samsung continues upgrading its AI ecosystem. Photo Assist now goes beyond object removal, allowing users to add missing elements or even change the time and weather of a subject with impressive precision.

Last year’s Now Brief has an additional partner, Now Nudge, offering smarter, context-aware suggestions based on daily routines.

Finder has also been upgraded to intelligently scan apps and notifications to surface exactly what you’re looking for.

Bixby, too, gets a significant upgrade, now functioning more like a true AI agent that is better at device control, smarter troubleshooting, and more helpful across connected smart devices.

Colors, Availability, and Pricing

The Galaxy S26 Series comes in four colors: Cobalt Violet, White, Black, and Sky Blue.

Pre-orders run from February 26 to March 17, 2026, with pricing as follows:
