Fanatec®, a brand of CORSAIR® presented a series of product announcements and platform updates during its Spring Showcase event, introducing new hardware and software updates designed to expand flexibility across its ecosystem.

ClubSport Formula V3 launched

Fanatec introduced the ClubSport Formula V3, a reworked version of its iconic Formula-style steering wheel. The new model is a direct replacement for the Formula V2.5 and features a larger display with Intelligent Telemetry Mode, allowing drivers to switch between layouts such as lap times and deltas, tire temperatures, and other telemetry. The diameter increases to 290 mm, with revised ergonomics suited to a wider range of race cars.

Input controls have been updated throughout. The thumb-operated rotary dials now offer increased resistance and push functionality, while the central rotary switch expands to 12 positions. A second FunkySwitch replaces the previous analog stick, and the grips are now .

Fanatec Wheel Hub expands compatibility

Also launched is the Fanatec Wheel Hub, the first product developed specifically for using third-party USB steering wheels with Fanatec Direct Drive Wheel Bases. It consists of a diecast aluminum adapter plate featuring 6 x 70 mm and 6 x 50.8 mm mounting patterns, and QR2 quick release.

While the Podium Hub remains the best option for building a modular steering wheel using Fanatec components, the new Wheel Hub is designed specifically for third-party wheels, enabling a more compact design and a lower price point, increasing flexibility for users building their own simulator setups across multiple hardware brands.

Fanatec is working with approved steering wheel manufacturers to offer the Wheel Hub as the default Fanatec compatibility option on their respective websites.

Podium Pedals pricing and availability

Pricing and availability details were shared on the upcoming Podium Pedals. The mechanical precision and adjustability in the flagship pedal system is designed to improve input consistency, building driver confidence and speed.

Performance updates for existing Wheel Bases

Fanatec confirmed a forthcoming driver update that increases the holding torque of its ClubSport DD and ClubSport DD+ Wheel Bases. The update raises output of ClubSport DD from 12 Nm to 15 Nm (25% increase) and the ClubSport DD+ from 15 Nm to 18 Nm (20% increase). This higher torque figure increases the dynamic range of the force feedback, improving realism and immersion.

There are also plans to introduce FullForce to CSL DD and Gran Turismo® DD Pro Wheel Bases. Fanatec’s advanced force feedback layer adds physics-based vibration effects to the core signal, enhancing immersion and tactile connection to the car. All performance improvements will be provided free of charge through standard firmware updates.

“This showcase reflects a clear direction for Fanatec,” said Tobias Stelzer, VP and General Manager at Fanatec. “I’m excited to share the final details for the Podium Pedals and introduce more product updates. We’re giving sim racers more freedom in how they build their setups, while the upgrades for our direct drive bases shows our commitment to optimizing performance on existing products.”
