While walking through the AGI booth at Computex 2026, one of the more unexpected announcements wasn’t a new controller, faster NAND, or another incremental spec update. Instead, AGI used the show to unveil a new collaboration with the anime and manga series DANDADAN, applying the franchise’s artwork across several of its consumer storage and memory products.

Unlike many convention-exclusive displays that consist solely of themed packaging, AGI had physical products on display, including DDR5 memory, PCIe Gen4 SSDs, portable SSDs, and microSD cards carrying custom DAN DA DAN artwork.

A Collaboration Built Around Presentation Rather Than New Hardware

Based on what AGI presented at Computex 2026, this collaboration isn’t about introducing new storage technology. The controllers, interfaces, capacities, and performance ratings all align with products already present in AGI’s portfolio.

Instead, the focus is clearly on presentation. The company has taken several existing memory and storage products and wrapped them in officially licensed DANDADAN branding, complete with custom artwork on both the hardware and packaging.

Whether that appeals to buyers will largely depend on how much value they place on the franchise itself. For storage enthusiasts looking strictly at specifications, these remain familiar AGI products. For fans of DANDADAN, however, they represent a more substantial collaboration effort than the usual themed box art often seen in limited-edition releases.

As exhibited at Computex 2026, the partnership appears less concerned with chasing performance headlines and more focused on turning everyday PC components into collectible items that fans might actually use rather than leave sealed on a shelf.
