What started as a promising group buy has now turned into a nightmare for customers and vendors alike. Zion Studios, once a trusted name in the mechanical keyboard space, is facing serious allegations of failing to pay its dues—sparking fears of yet another exit scam in the community.

At the center of this controversy is the Theseus75 GB (haversnail), which was designed and launched last year. The organizer, who has been working closely with vendors to keep production moving, has sounded the alarm: despite Zion Studios collecting customer funds over seven months ago, the company has yet to settle outstanding invoices submitted as early as September 2024.

Broken Promises and Red Flags

At first, things seemed normal. The Chief Marketing Officer of Zion Studios responded to messages and assured that payments were on the way. But then, the responses became sporadic. As weeks turned into months, communication all but disappeared.

A deeper dive into Zion’s Discord server revealed something unsettling—key staff members had quietly “retired” from the company. With no answers from Zion, the Theseus75 organizer took the tough but necessary step of advising customers to begin chargebacks just in case things went south.

That’s when an unexpected message came in: a former Zion Studios Public Relations Manager reached out, offering to help. He even asked if customers could cancel their chargebacks, calling them “a pain in the ass” for the company. But the organizer stood firm—no payment, no favors.

Then came another promise: on February 13, Zion Studios would wire the money “tomorrow,” with payments arriving the following week. That week came and went. Now, it’s March 5, and still—nothing.

Is This Just a Delay, or Something Worse?

Zion Studios claims they just need “a bit more time.” But given the lack of transparency, the continued delays, and the unfortunate history of companies vanishing with customer funds, the community has every reason to be concerned.

Customers deserve honesty. Vendors deserve to be paid. And if Zion Studios can’t clear things up soon, the keyboard community may be looking at yet another devastating loss.

For now, affected buyers should take all necessary precautions, including filing chargebacks where possible. As the situation unfolds, the best thing we can do is stay informed—and stay cautious.
