I spotted this one tucked in the corner of be quiet! suite at the Grand Hyatt during Computex 2026, and it’s one of those products that doesn’t scream for attention, but once you read into it, you realize it’s actually doing something different.
The Dark Power Pro 14 IO isn’t just another high-wattage PSU refresh. The obvious headline here is the move toward software-level control. be quiet! is integrating PSU monitoring and configuration directly into their IO Center software, which means this unit isn’t just supplying power, it’s actively reporting and letting you tweak behavior in real time. That alone already separates it from the usual “set it and forget it” power supplies.

Efficiency is what you’d expect at this level, 80 PLUS Titanium and Cybenetics Titanium, but that’s almost a given in this category now. What’s more interesting is the internal design: fully digital control paired with an active rectifier and full bridge LLC. In other words, tighter power delivery and better efficiency under varying loads, especially important now that GPUs are anything but predictable.
And yes, this is clearly built for modern hardware. It’s an ATX 3.1 unit with proper support for PCIe 5.1 GPUs, alongside the usual connectors for legacy compatibility. No surprises there, but at least it means it’s ready for current and upcoming high-end builds without adapters or workarounds.
The models shown were 1300W and 1600W, which tells you exactly who this is for. This isn’t for midrange gaming rigs. This is aimed at high-end systems, multi-GPU setups, or anyone running hardware that can spike power hard.
What stands out here isn’t just raw wattage, it’s the direction. be quiet! is slowly turning the PSU into a monitored, configurable component instead of a passive one. Whether people actually use that level of control is another question, but it’s a step toward making power supplies a bit less invisible in the system.
From what I saw on the floor, it’s not flashy, but it’s one of the more forward-thinking PSU updates at Computex this year.
